Meet Amanda, our Founder

I am a white settler woman whose family has been living on and benefiting from the the unceded, unsurrendered territory of Anisinaabe Algonquin Nation in what is currently known as Eastern Ontario for many generations.

I have recently returned to these lands after nearly a decade as an uninvited guest on the lands of the Niitsitapi, on Treaty 7 Territory. My career in local community development began and flourished in what is colonially known as Calgary.

I am a community facilitator who draws on the Art of Hosting, Liberating Structures, and other participatory processes to help design and host conversations and community engagement sessions that deepen our understanding and connect our experiences to transformative change.

My practice is rooted in Asset-Based Community Development, and I love to incorporate play and creative processes to help us engage in deep and meaningful conversations and explorations.
